The Government of the Republic of Sierra Leone and that of the Government of the Republic of The Gambia are to enter into Frame Work of Cooperation Agreement for the Establishment of a joint Commission between the two countries.

A high powered delegation from the Energy Ministry and the oversight committee in Parliament, led by the Minister Alhaji Kanja Sesay, had on Thursday 8th July 2021 visited Makeni to assess electricity generation and supply issues in the city.

The spokesperson of the National Corona Virus Emergency Response Center (NaCOVERC) who is also the Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Solomon Jamiru, has disclosed that corona virus cases have dropped by 44% in the last seven days which according to him shows a lot of progress in the fight against COVID-19. 

The Parliament of Sierra Leone on Wednesday, 23rd June 2021, passed into law the Cybersecurity and Crime Act 2021 that was tabled by the Hon. Minister of Information and Communications, Mohamed Rahman Swaray, ten years after Sierra Leone signed the ECOWAS Directives for member states to legislate laws to combat cyber-related crimes.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC), Mamadi Gobeh Kamara has met with the African Group of Ambassadors and Justice Tonia Barnett, the Candidate for the position of Commissioner of the African Commission for Human and People’s Rights (ACHPR).
