The Director General furthered that the Human Resource Management Office that is charged with the responsiblity of providing human resource policies and advisory services as well as managing the civil service workforce did the recruitments in line with government's agenda of developing the human capital, noting that orientation to familiarize civil servants with the work culture and environment has already been conducted.
Mr Tucker said they retired over Five Hundred and Fifty Five civil servants which created space for more people to be recruited.
He added that Two Hundred and Thirty interns were placed across MDAs as part of HRMO's fulfillment of Human Capital Development.
HRMO, he went on, is working with the Ministry of Information and Communications to ensure that an automated system of attendance that will track workers attendance is installed in various MDAs with 20 already installed.
He concluded that a consultant will be recruited to review the Civil Service Code to bring it up to date with present day work effectiveness and efficiency.
