Sierra Leone's President His Excellency Rtd. Brg. Dr. Julius Maada Bio has inspected and commissioned Engineering Equipments sent in country by the Government and People's Republic of China for use by the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF).  

Speaking at the event, President Bio spoke on the cordial relationship that has existed between Sierra Leone and China and informed that such collaboration will continue to produce positive results for both countries. He said that the equipment will fully be utilized by RSLAF for the benefit of the people and Government of Sierra Leone.  

President Bio stated that a lot of reforms have taken place and will continue to take place under his leadership as Commander in Chief of RSLAF. He said that his government is known to be a government of actions because of the slogan "Tok and Do," which he said they have always delivered on. 

The President said that when our into good use, the equipment will serve several purposes, including, but not limited to Agricultural and Engineering services. He commended the Minister of Defence and the leadership of RSLAF for the progressive strides and urged that more progress should be made. 

The representative of the Chinese Ambassador, said that China and Sierra Leone have always had a cordial relationship and reiterated that China is committed to supporting and working with the government of Sierra Leone at all time.
