Hon. Mohamed Rahman Swaray as Minister of Information and Communications is unarguably one of the most outstanding and consistent ministers in the President Bio led administration. His desire for results that continue to place Sierra Leone on the top echelons of progressive strides is unquestionably appreciable.
As we speak, the third annual Media and CSOs engagement is ongoing in Kenema city and as expected, stakeholders are there to discuss development related affairs and to find a solution to some obvious challenges. Minister Swaray is on record to have stated that the Government of President Bio is one of openness, frankness and sincerity. It is therefore not surprising Vice President Hon Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh keynote is speaker at the engagements. The VP has already noted how the government has achieved a lot in a short time and that those positive results should not go unnoticed and underreported.
Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Francis KaiKai also touched on how Sierra Leone should not be left behind the global development framework, emphasising the need to effectively collaborate with the media.
This openness is something laudable and Sierra Leoneans should continue to appreciate Minister Swaray as Information and Communications' Minister for all of these goodies. The President of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ), Ahmed Sahid Nasralla (D Monk) lucidly spoke about how the Bio led administration is serious about media, citing the numerous support and investments including the subvention that was given to the association.
