Mohamed Rahman Swaray, the newly appointed Minister of Information and Communications was born in Pujehun and grew up in Kenema where he attended the Islamic Secondary School from 1983- 1989. He did his advance level examinations at the Bo Government Secondary School.
In 1991 he proceeded to Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone and read English and Political science graduating with a Bachelor’s degree. He also holds an MBA from the University of Westminster Business School in London, United Kingdom.
He has a wealth of senior management experience in various fields including aviation, mining and Ports transport sectors spanning over two decades. Until his appointment he was a freelance Organizational Development and Human Resources Consultant and played key roles as Head of Media for the Julius Maada Bio presidential campaign.
The Minister is a senior member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) and a certified crisis Communications Expert.
He is happily married with three children.
