A group of traders have joined the bandwagon to enhance agricultural productivity for food sufficiency in the country. They say they share the view that agriculture is the engine of economic growth due to its substantial impact on all the other sectors of the economy.
Esther Maria Ali commonly called Jinnah, the Deputy National Chairperson of the Sierra Leone Traders Association informed this medium that they have decided to embrace one of President Bio’s priorities (Agriculture) because of its potential to create jobs, boost the economy and above all provide enough food stuffs in local markets.
She said that they are still doing their business because trading is not only about buying goods and taking them to the market for people to buy but it also includes increasing productivity.
She especially applauded Madam Jane Fea Kabbasei Sillah, District Agriculture Officer (DAO) Western Rural and Urban and her team for the diverse support they have been rendering to them, noting that with such assistance they will do extremely well in agriculture.
