NASSIT and other partners support Sick Pikin Project Marathon

The National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) has extended its momentous support to the “Sick Pikin” project marathon, an activity that was conducted to recognize beneficiaries patients, fund raising and to showcase wonderful outcomes to people who have been supporting children with critical medical condition in the country.

Ishmeal Alfred Charles, Co-founder and Lead Campaigner for the sick pikin project, “a project of CARITAS Freetown, intimidated that the marathon is one of their fund raising strategies they have adopted in the project yearly now, where children with critical medical attention issues could be channeled because the “Sick Pikin” project is a conduit aspect that expresses their concerns of ill children through advocating, noting that, the project has helped nineteen (19) children and at present, they have sixteen (16) in their list who need help, among the 16, on the Monday 23rd December, 2019 two out of the sixteen will be travelling in India with support from the Ministry of Health and Sanitation and few individuals donors for medical treatment.
